As the people of Spira struggle to find direction and meaning in the post-Yevon world, a new movement is brewing underground - a movement that threatens not only Tidus and Yuna's happiness but the safety and freedom of all Spirans.

2022 note here it is again, my favourite of the WIPs I’m reading at the moment: post-FFX-2 fic in which Tidus and Yuna are reunited, their relationship develops, and the stakes get incredibly, ludicrously high. It’s just so unrepentantly verbose (absolute #goals as I sail past the 50k mark on my own WIP, huh) and so sad and dramatic, I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

2022 note A rare case of someone actively writing longfic in the FFX fandom. Reading the updates on these fics has been a delightful Friday morning activity over the last few months. My faves don’t even appear and that in no way lessens my enjoyment. Features: worldbuilding, many excellent OCs, a really cute and respectful relationship, first-time sex, a refreshingly non-fanfictionish writing style, maximum attention to detail.

I keep misreading this as revenant kisses, so …

Sometimes, there are things that are better off not being said. Yuna runs across one or two of them when she has a conversation with Auron after Zanarkand.

Short insight(s?) into Auron and Jecht's relationship.

Before the place of souls, Auron takes confession from his own personal priest.

They say it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Never losing doesn't seem to be an option.

Jecht says loudly ‘I’m not saying I’m not interested. You said a trade? What’s the trade? A blowjob for what?’

Auron rolls his eyes, barely visible beneath the sunglasses. ‘The trade is you get a blowjob and I get a picture.’

2022 note Not even the OTP but deliciously tropey and apparently it turns out that I’ll enjoy anything that includes appreciative descriptions of Auron’s body … who would have thought it!! Features: college AU, enthusiastic consent, fake dating, only one bed, lots of sex of different varieties, text messages, questionable fashion choices.

Braska's pilgrimage ends in the Calm Lands, when he calls his Final Aeon. It doesn't end like this. (But it might have.)

He would wish for dreams had they been restful of late.

After being "kidnapped" by Braska and Auron, Jecht witnesses something he shouldn't see. Should never see. But he can't help enjoying it.

Jecht had never understood why women expected him to change after they slept with him.

Braska will summon the Final Aeon in the morning. He has little time left to show his appreciation to his guardian.
